What gets right up your nose

I've just had this ad pop up on phone
It's a t shirt, won't let me copy the image but it says
"I may be old, but I got to see
The world before it went to shit"

I wonder if they'd do a discount for a bulk ag matters order :D

I wish online stores would tell you which parcel firm is going to deliver, or not, for them before you buy. You could go elsewhere then but maybe that's the reason. Ordered a cooker element on Sunday, was told on Wed morning that Hermes  would be bringing it that day. Later in the afternoon I got a message saying it would be between 5.30 and 7.30pm, great. 5.40 I get another message saying it's not coming and tracking will update tomorrow.
Yesterday they said it was coming but no time. Nothing. No update first thing today but now they reckon 1.30-3.30, we'll see

It turned up half an hour early, with the box all torn to hell and stuck back together. Fortunately the element was fine and is now fitted and working

I know, they are awful here too.
If I could choose I would opt for Royal Mail
Parcel Farce must have borrowed the invisible van that Evri normally drive.
They said they had tried to deliver at 4.43 on Monday.
Yard cctv camera just shows me in the yard pottering and waiting around.
Fred called in the next day with the parcel.
I resisted the urge to ask who was driving the invisible van today.

Lloyds Bank. Been with them 57 years and had an email they are closing the branch in Cardigan. No apology, just telling me to use the branch 30 miles away! They are removing the cash machine, which I thought they could have left. There is now only one bank, HSBC, in Cardigan, and none in Newcastle Emlyn. There is no guarantee that that will stay open either.
They really really dont want people using cash.

I have now been told I can use the Post Office for my Lloyds account. I dont want to due to what they did to the post masters.

You can console yourself that you are helping the local postmaster by using his services to pay the cheques in. It's a shame the hierarchy benefit from his additional workload.

Until they close it next year if they follow NatWest.
To be fair I can even use the app to pay in occasional cheques now so not that bothered and can get cash from machine at supermarket.
Won't work for everyone especially with poor internet.
It's all so different to when farm borrowed loads of money to expand in the 80s - partly on the basis of being on friendly terms with local branch manager.

Excellent News- Inflation falls; the main BBC headline (not like the BBC to run a feel-good story as their main headline).
Oh hang on- I’ve read the next line 🤬🤬🤬

I was unfortunate enough to be listening to Vine while driving today, he was doing a piece on inflation. It seemed to me that he didn't grasp that inflation dropping to 3.2% meant that inflation was at 3.2%, the way he was talking it sounded as though he thought prices should be dropping.
3.2% inflation, Jeremy, is still inflation, expect prices to have risen.

or am I wrong?

You’re not wrong. Need deflation before prices drop
