I'm thinking a couple of damp days would do it no harm
Inch over a week would do wonders for it and the wheat. Winter barley is possibly gone past rain helping but would do no harm.I'm thinking a couple of damp days would do it no harm
When is the point where rain is too late? I'm assuming it needs rain before there is any seedheadsInch over a week would do wonders for it and the wheat. Winter barley is possibly gone past rain helping but would do no harm.
Winter barley could be only 6 weeks from harvest. Grain fill is well advanced now for the most part. Rain would help by slowing down the process and stop it from burning off. When is the point where rain is too late? I'm assuming it needs rain before there is any seedheads
Died before it ripened last year consequently bushel weight was crap, well my late drilled spring barley did last yearWinter barley could be only 6 weeks from harvest. Grain fill is well advanced now for the most part. Rain would help by slowing down the process and stop it from burning off.
Spring barley wasn't too bad here, it didn't start drying till early July. Strangely the wheat burnt off despite June being wet.Died before it ripened last year consequently bushel weight was crap, well my late drilled spring barley did last year![]()
