Lamma 20

WELL, a grand day out, nice to catch up up with @Carole and @sleepy, also some bearded grumpy person tapped me on the shoulder and acted as though he knew me, so I was polite.
For those that haven't bedn to the NEC I think its the dogs danglies for events like this, i've been to various shows there and it has always produced a satisfying day out. I never weent to the outdoor LAMMA, a bit to far for me and the thought of spending a January day out in the elements just didn't have enough appeal.
Today seemed busier, and bigger than last year, I look forward to seeing the attendance figures, and for the entry and parking to be free is a boost. ( take your own food and its a cheap day out ).

I’d love an Agricamera, but Jake’s need wiring in, and y’all know the trouble I’m in with the sparkles who are / were? Doing the farmhouse spotlights. Let loose on the farm, it’d be in darkness for a year. :ROFLMAO:

Nice pics Pete. Thanks. I expect to see a Fendt tomorrow.

None of this kit will be needed @Landyman- dear old Moonbat wants to produce all food in a laboratory.

There was a time, a million years ago when you could phone Mr. Fendt in his office and report any improvements you thought were needed. Now they tell you it’s ‘the nut on the seat’ that’s the problem, not the tractor.

Caught the end of moonbat on the wireless at dinnertime. Is it worth listening on catch up or will it just up my BP

@Landyman @opininionated @Carole Do they still have a lot of smaller stands advertising the sorts of things of interest to small mixed farmers? When it was in Newark, we must’ve sent quite a few bits of business the way of businesses with smaller stands (replacement seat pads for Grammer seats, rat cage traps, keyed alike security padlocks are some that spring to mind). The ‘big shiny stuff’, while nice to look at normally doesn’t interest me that much; I’m highly unlikely to buy it due to me not being a propper farmer...

Yes, I spent most of my time there browsing around the perimeter stands, far more interesting and the vendors are pleased to tqlk and discuss the products, building suppliers were represented, asxwell as building materiaals. Some workshop kit and tool suppliers attracted my attention as well as smaller machinery manufacturers..
It is of course primarily an arable equipment show so there wasn't a massive amount of livestock equipment present.
I am always flabbergasted at the cost of tillage equipment, I can't help thinking that the price is based on what the nachine can do rather than what it costs to make.
Not just tillage, there was a roller mill, capacity 30 t / hr, price tag 31k.
Imagine running fhat for 8 hrs and relying on facebook as your marketing partner eh @Last-of-V8's

Lovely to catch up with Mrs Opinionated & yourself again.

Who would want to attend or exhibit at another outdoor exhibition again after NEC, it is a no brainer, we spend enough time outside in whatever the weather chucks at us, it was great to be warm and dry for a day! AgriCamera was pretty much flat out all day, a bit of a lull at lunchtime to be expected, but other than that non stop.
Cant fault it at all. Shuttle bus from car parks to door is another bonus, and they are on a constant loop, so very little time to wait, if any.
