2007? I went the first day and it was a bit rough, heard the next day there were tents flying over the hedges and they kicked everyone out before dinner timeHope it’s better than the last time I tried to go to Lamma a couple of years ago. Drove all the way down on roads that were fairly sketchy at times (lots of snow), spent a night at a travellodge and when we got there in the morning, it’d blown away ❄🌬![]()
That'd be at Peterboghorror then. Twas at Newark in '07. Probably not been myself for 10 years, got YAMS just down the road now@deere66 no, 2017 - final day cancelled due to storm damage. I think the last time before that was in 2013 when it was slightly nearer. Again an eventful journey as it was so cold the windscreen sprayer nozzles kept freezing up, then the t-junction on the line burst. Great fun on salty roads... I’ve decided now that, perhaps Lamma isn’t for me!
Book into a hotel at the nec , the show is great and indoors AND there is a wetherspoons at the venue , win winYep; Newark was just about within striking distance from N’land for a day trip; Peterbourough was a bit far. B’ham? I don’t think so!!
Maybe another year... I tend only to go to these sorts of shows when I’m thinking of making an investment (that was the annoying thing about the blow-away Lamma; I’d wanted to compare loaders). Now doesn’t feel like the right time to be spending lots of cash (even if I could afford it...)Book into a hotel at the nec , the show is great and indoors AND there is a wetherspoons at the venue , win win
Been to Birmingham once and London twice, that's 3 times too many!Yep; Newark was just about within striking distance from N’land for a day trip; Peterbourough was a bit far. B’ham? I don’t think so!!
