Isn't a stroke usually caused by a blood clot restricting flow to the brain
A stroke can be either a clot or a bleed. Basically anything that results in an area of brain not getting oxygen would cause a stroke. A small bleed probably wouldn't result in a stroke as long as enough blood kept flowing to feed the brain but the leakage would be causing pressure on the brain with associated malfunctions.
