Yep. Alnwick’s a funny place like that. The Old Cross, down the street, has some haunted bottles in the window (the Dirty Bottles).

I haven’t been in the White Swan for years. It’s looking a bit rough around the edges these days. Fat blokes in tracksuits standing outside for a fag etc.

Seems he was rolling in the hay with the 19 y/o kitchen maid and had to get married sharpish before my Great Grandma's sister made an appearance
